Unfolding The Forest -2

The drawing represents an exemplary infrastructure, The Forest, which captures carbon dioxide and carbon credit. The folding drawing deconstructs the three-dimensional space of the forest infrastructure. It is not aiming at representing the actual spatial configurations of the building but leads the viewer through experiences at various scales. Different scales of building elements are uncovered through the unfolding process, including timber structure, facade unit, CO2 trees, carbon capture sorbent and the ice cream hill. The paper flaps enable the dynamic juxtaposition of different scales through the process, creating unexpected spatial illusions and enchanting visual effects.
